Benny Teo

"Principally revolving around personal expression, my works are commonly portrayed through personal exploration in a painterly sense. My paintings depict a subconscious sense of space that shows a dynamic composition as a painterly direction."

  • Graduated with Diploma in Fine Arts, LASALLE College of the Arts, 2010

  • Graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fine Arts, LASALLE College of the Arts, 2013

Principally revolving around personal expression and everyday space, Benny’s works are commonly portrayed through everyday scenes as subject matters and paint with personal exploration. His paintings depict a subconscious sense of space that shows a dynamic composition as a painterly direction.

The crux of Benny’s works creates the tension arising from someone making sense of his surroundings. His preoccupation with the poetics of spaces had him finding affinity with the New Leipzig School, a contemporary group of German artists less defined by ideology than common location.
