An aero-space engineer-turned artist, Ho Sou Ping gave up his comfortable 12-year career in 2009 and founded artcommune gallery and AC43 Gallery. In the early days of his art pursuit, he
learned Chinese painting from fellow Singaporean artist, Mr Chuan Keng Boon.
Since the inception of his full-time profession in the arts, Sou Ping's scope has widely expanded. As an artist, he has been experimenting with different fusions of Chinese and Western paintings. As an art entrepreneur, he also makes a conscious effort to promote Singapore art through his galleries. He contributes articles to art magazines, such as Malaysia Art Gallery Guide and Confabulation (The Pocket Art Guide), and conducts art classes to enhance art literacy among Singaporeans.
